What's new for 2025?
• PEIP is excited to offer a new in-person group category. Interested clinics / groups can purchase a table at the in-person conference and receive 6 registrations for a reduced per person price. A table will be reserved for your group in our plenary room.
• PEIP is also offering a $100 discount off total registration fees for anyone who purchases both a workshop and an in-person conference ticket (the discount is not applicable on virtual tickets).
Is the PEIP by PEER Conference an in-person or virtual event?
PEIP is excited to offer both in-person and virtual attendance options.
Is PEIP by PEER accredited for continuing education hours?
Our application process with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (Mainpro+) is underway. More details to be come in late August.
Where can I book my hotel room if attending in-person?
Click the ‘Venue & Accommodation’ tab to find more information on PEIP discounted room rates at the Conference hotel. Pricing for guest rooms start at $176 per night (plus hotel fees and taxes).
Will speaker handouts / slides be made available?
If the speaker has given permission for resources to be shared, a PDF will be shared through the event mobile app / virtual platform.
Is there parking onsite?
Yes, complimentary parking is available onsite at the Double Tree.
Do I need to pre-register for the Friday evening Networking reception?
No, registration is not required for the reception, it is included in the in-person ticket price. RSVP is not required.
Are meals provided for in-person tickets?
Yes, the following meals / refreshments are included in the registration fees with the in-person tickets: • Friday: PM refreshments and Networking Reception (light appetizers and beverages) • Saturday: Breakfast, AM refreshments, lunch and PM refreshments.
I can only attend one day of the Conference – is there a discount or single day tickets available? Unfortunately, we do not offer single day registration options or discounts if you are only available for a portion of the event.
What is the cancellation / refund policy?
Cancellation requests must be sent via email to [email protected]. Refund requests received prior to October 1, 2025 will be refunded to the original payment method less a $100 administration fee. No refunds will be given after October 1; however, you may transfer your ticket to another person or switch from in-person to virtual participation. Substitutions will be accepted until Wednesday, October 15 at 5:00pm MT. Please send an email to [email protected] with your transfer request and include the new registrants name and email. NO SHOW: Failure to attend the event will forfeit your registration fee. No refunds are issued for late arrivals or failure to attend.
Will certificates of attendance be provided?
Yes, a certificate of attendance will be provided to all registrants (both in-person and virtual participation) within 5 business days of the close of the Conference. This certificate of attendance can be used to support self claim of CE credits with your preferred provider.
Who qualifies for the clinic / group virtual attendance rate?
Any clinic or group of healthcare workers of three or more can register for the Clinic / Group participation category. Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Students and Residents all receive the same per person rate which is based on an average of the three categories. The fee charged is per user and the group receives one invoice. If you wish to recoup the registration fees from each individual participant in your group, it is your administrator’s responsibility to collect the fees from your individual members. The Clinic / Group rate option is designed to help streamline the registration process, allowing one designated administrator to quickly register all group members, while at the same time offering a discounted rate for bulk purchases. Individual group members will have their own personalized access to the virtual platform for the live sessions and to view the session recordings.
Who qualifies for the Student / Resident rate?
If you are a student currently enrolled in a Canadian academic institution or a current resident in training that has graduated from a Canadian academic institution within the past five years, you can register at this rate.
Can I pay my registration fees by cheque or e-transfer?
PEIP by PEER only accepts credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard & Amex) via our online registration system.
How do I access the virtual platform for live viewing on October 17 & 18?
An email will be sent to all registrants approximately one week in advance of the dates with instructions on how to download the virtual streaming app and log in.
Will the session recordings be available for viewing post-event?
Yes, anyone who purchases a virtual or in-person ticket will have access the session recordings to view on-demand for a period of three months post the live event. All sessions will be recorded. The recordings will be available approximately 2 – 5 business days after the close of the live conference.
Is the time of the livestream adjusted for my time zone?
Yes, our streaming platform automatically converts the session times to each user’s time zone within the online app.
What is the deadline to register for a workshop?
We encourage you to register as early as possible, as each workshop is limited to 20 participants. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may fill quickly.
Is there a discount for registering for both a workshop and the conference?
Yes. A $100 discount is offered to those who register for both the in-person conference and a workshop. This discount will be automatically applied during registration. Please note, it does not apply to virtual attendance tickets.
Where are the workshops held?
All workshops will take place in person at the conference venue: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel West Edmonton.
Will there be any work required before or after the workshop?
Yes. All workshops include a pre-event assignment and a post-event survey. Further details will be provided to registrants closer to the event date.
Are workshops accredited for CME hours?
Pre-conference workshop participants may be eligible for enhanced CME credits due to the inclusion of pre- and post-event reflective activities. More details to follow.
